be prepared.
terribly unprepared. about to get terribly screwed.
this is what the lecturer has to say
"Dear All,
The CA for most moduels is pegged at 40% and final exam 60%. 40% CA and 60% exam, with equal weight for plant and animla development. So, I better even do the maths for you folks who are so into minite (ed: minute?) details like splitting hair.
CA for plant development 20%, exam 30%
CA for animal devlopment 20%, exam 30%
You are to answer 2 questions for plant development and 2 for animal devlopment during exam. In each section, you have 3 options to choose 2. Each question anser will carry 15% of the total final grade.
So, if you score 15/20 for plant CA and 18/20 for animal CA, and then you score overall 70/100 for exam, that will make 0.7X60=42. The total final will be 15+18+42=75, which is a good mark. Whether you get A/B/C/D will depend on the final normalization. If many of the class score very well, then 75 is not an A. But if many score badly, then 75 maybe even A+.
This is a competitive world and assessment is all relative and not absolute. Just do your best and the due reward will be yours.
Have an enjoyable exam period.
All the best"
sian. pls, may many score badly.
