...Because today went by, and already its gone

time really just gets away now doesnt it? had an uber busy day at work today. i went into tissue culture work in the sterile hood at 9am and exited at only 4pm. i missed lunch TOTALLY dammit! almost fainted getting home for dinner. :)

The day started funnily enough. it was pouring heavily and the giant brolly outside my house flew off! parents woke up and went scrambling after the runaway brolly and the few other flowerpots that, too, got overpowered by the wind.

I, on the other hand, trudged my way to work armed with a tiny foldable brolly thinking that the rain would just about lighten up - but i was wrong. it gave new meaning to "braving the wind and rain to work." ughghghghhggh

I usually meet people i don't wanna meet on the train on a regular basis. But once every few days i meet the people i don't meet enough on the train, and that's always a treat.

And today is red slippers day.

i guess one of the perks that comes with the job is the incredible slackness that is allowed when it comes to attire. of course, for safety's sake we're supposed to be in long pants and covered shoes, but all in all, attire is not a big deal with work, and i've seen people strut around in the tiniest of miniskirts.

so,

today, i wore my bright red rubber slippers to work.

yup.

i folded my pants up like an auntie and wore rubber slippers like a sec sch kid, flip flopping my way thru puddles and flip flopped my way to work. cool right?

I normally wear my charles and keith berkies and some how that gives me a little bit more of a not-so-sloppy look. And in my bright red rubber slippers, i met christine on the train! reaction was classic. i stared at her, she stared at me. 2 full seconds before recognition sets in. hahaha in her words she was thinking "who's this sloppy girl...but oo she got nice (toe) nails!"

hilarious man. so far i've met prisca, zijie along the way to work too. zijie i saw sleeping. and i had a lot of fun waking him up by whacking him with my umbrella and seeing him jolt with shock. heh heh heh.

I've completed Ravenhearst. Have infected michelle and gummi with bug. Feeling contented. Must pat self on back.

never knew the skin on my toes were so dry.
