Sanctuary
sanctuary orchard.oh yes its that place we often waltz past....live band in the f***ing humidity.
i'd rate a C for service by given by the manager (or head waiter, whoever he was. no amount of smiling or polite thank yous from us was returned with a smile at all! however, a rate A, for service by wait-staff!!!

music? B lah...everything was a good impersonation, but A+ for enthusiasm man.
selection of beers? down right crappy...they don't have heinis even!! :(
only carlsburg and stout and something i didnt quite catch the manager/head-waiter/watever was walking away as he was telling us what drinks they have.
when we first arrived, he asked me "drinks or meal ma'am?" i said drinks. he just waved me off to some far corner table.
i look at him.
he look at me.
and he walked away.
-_-"
wah lao eh. dun tell me this is OK lor. i've worked in the service line lor..the right thing to do is to follow pple to their seats or at least, if u're the manager, DIRECT a waitstaff to follow pple to their seats and hand them the menu , or at the very LEAST smile and show pple WHERE to seat with a firm palm directed indication, rather than a flagrant wave of the hand!
they didnt even BOTHER to come to take our order immediately. we just sat there for a bit, wondering just what kinda system they have. is it self service? apparently, from the manager/head-waiter/whatever's demeanor, he expected us to GO and PLACE and order. and when ang-mohs come in, they IMMEDIATELY get their menus and somebody waiting to take their order.
wtf is that all about?
but then again, maybe it's because we were neither
gasp, oh shit, maybe they think we belong to THEM?!?!? the jc-sec sch group?!?!? OMG OMG OMG!!
wtf i look young! dammit! :P
on a side note, back to that bunch of jc-kids, the girls were dressed to the nines man - those bra-less (well done bananamon for immediately noticing this detail) back revealing somethings, skirts long enough to cover the butt, the fancy pointy heels, make up and downing drinks and all perched on a lacquared bar-stool.
and to top it off, they carried many many shopping bags.
geez. i dun remember having that much money or freedom when i was that age. maybe they have alternative income, maybe, they're working. (but how much drinking/shopping can $5 an hr get u?) but i think, higher chance, its more of a parent's give them big allowances. and even if i had the money, i wouldnt have the freedom.
gish. even now in my 20s i still worry bout my parents giving me a hard time if i club, man. :S
gosh.
well off to bed now.
night world :)
