...Because today is a brand new day
Hheee heee.
first day of course was rather entertaining, i was the only local girl (with a bio-background) in a group of guys who were chemists based in countries overseas but were flown in for the course.
and yes, chemists really do talk about OH groups and carbon rings, like how we talk about enzymes and proteins. :S
the funniest was a malaysian who very excitedly asked me where the nearest cinema to his hotel is, because he wanted to watch basic instinct which was banned in his country. i thought it was easy to get pirated discs in malaysia (hor dan hor? heeee), but apparently he wanted to see sharon stone....BIGGER.
but after the course i headed back to work and helped out till 9pm. i have officially worked 9am-9pm!!!!!! AND THE BEST PART: i think the boss doesnt know. :( ah wells, but my colleague needed the extra pair of hands and since i was quite energetic after struggling to stay awake all day at the course i didnt mind coming down to help - afterall, if not for the course i'd be the one rushing the monday load of activities, and because i was away my poor colleague had to manage everything on her own - so she came in at 9.30am and ended later than me! alamak!
oh wells,
gonna spend the day at course again, hope it's more interesting...because the 3 cups of coffee i took in a span of a couple of hours did nothing to keep me awake yesterday.
