Makan: Minum! The bestest Iced milk tea around!
This ice milk tea, aka "Teh-peng" (Peng as in pay-eng), is out of this world. I've tasted something similar to this before, but only in my own home. It was a lipton powder tea, i'm not sure of the name of it, but it was a small little tub of powdery goodness.but i digress.
the focus of this post is on the teh-peng that can be found at 62 joo chiat place, Sin Wah Coffee shop. the quality of the tea tends to vary tho. On some days it's too sweet, others, it's not sweet at all. but when they get it right, my gosh, it's the best teh peng ever. and believe me, i've had lots of teh peng before this, and this one really takes the tea-biscuit!

the color of the tea is more brownish, heading towards an earthy color. it has a deep aroma accompanying that carries into its taste. perhaps its from the use of brown sugar in the brew? who knows. it tastes really different from the other run-of-the-mill milk teas from the coffee shops and hawker centres.
by golly, it's good teh peng!
