...Because the laptop is still down...

Harlow everybodyyyy....havent been blogging much, but then again, who's been blogging???

So lately, not only have i NOT been watching tv, i've also not been surfing the internet, reading blogs or any kind of visual/digital entertainment other than going to the movies. my only source of news is the pHD student seated behind me, glances at newspapers held by ppl in the train, and the morning straits times i have with my breakfast. William from the lunch time gang asked me "well what do you do with your time then?". Well, *scratches head*, i don't really know. time just kinds of takes care of itself. I cant really remember what is it that i do, but it never feels like i have enuff of it. I must have been busy with life in general, i guess?

Alas, my laptop is down!

A trip to sim lim resulted in several quote of $190-230 to repair my laptop so i've resolved to not fix my laptop at all and perhaps in future just buy a brand new pc as i've been wanting to since i graduated. I did manage to find a company that sells the fan itself for me to plug in ($45) butttt they're out of stock and they cant say when they'd commit to bring in new stock. wad can i say, toshiba doesnt sell spareparts over the counter, so everyone's out to make a quick buck. as such, only been loggin on briefly to check my mail, pay bills with a battery operated fan in one hand as an external cooler etc, just long enough until my laptop overheats...and coming over to bananamon's house every few days to surf, do the occasional msn, and now that hes sleeping, blog a little. but quite frankly, don't really have the rush to fix the laptop or get back connected to the net because i just crash into bed everytime i'm home or dive into a book/textbook when i'm home, anyway.

works been a real bummer lately, because the big boss suddenly realizes my existence and promptly assigns me some heavy duty work in spite of my own projects, and the new work commitment returns me to the 7day work week.

i knew the 5 day work week was too good to be true! :)

I guess i gotta learn to drive again now that i have to work weekends and it doesnt make sense for me to take 2hrs to get to work for only a couple of hours/mins at work when it only takes about 30mins for me to drive down in the weekend traffic. hmm...really should force myself to start drivign around the neighborhood....



oh well. guess i'd best make the best of the rest of my sunday too, anyway, and get some sleep before the new week begins. :S
