lazy mon....oh wait it's tuesday

in a recent spate of events, perhaps in both my life and of those around me, i wonder, how is it that when we get older, we tend to let go of more and more "morals".

is the idea of keeping morality an ideal?

even simple, basic ideals such as "integrity" we lose in time - how else can we survive in the working world? i guess thats why i never really had a good time with politics, i just stubbornly held on to this thing called integrity, and so was unable to play the game right.

and as we get older, we find ourselves doing things we never knew or self-set the standard as what we thought we would do. more and more, i realise as we age, that we begin to "let go" of our ideals and standards, and more and more often, we begin to give in and NOT do the right thing.

to quote a friend - "sometimes i don't understand why i do the things i do".

i really feel that way sometimes, throw my hands up in the air, shrug and go "I DON'T KNOW".

so that's the thing. sometimes we dunno why we do the things we do, i figure we try our best to do the right thing, but i see that as we get older the resolve to do the right thing keeps fading each day.

BUT we try. i hope we try.
