Makan: Chai Kee Prawn Noodles @ Kovan

What can i say, a second post 3 mins later - anxiety needs to be exhausted.

Had lunch this morning, with the parents - finally, i might add - i kept missing them over the past few mornings of "joblessness".

i woke up at about 9am to catch up at home before they headed out on their usual morning brunch hunt, and we settled down to brunch at bout 11am. funny though, i wonder what happened between 9am-11pm, i guess everyone was waiting for everyone else to take a dump and get ready. :P

now good food seems so hard to find around here. Really lei, long snaking queues at stalls in the north east (read: hougang, seng kang, punggol) don't mean anything lei. For example, the endless queues at Punggol Nasi Lemak....can you ever understand that? if anything, it's just an indicator the Seng-kangians are starving for food - ANY FOOD. Really don't understand, man.

But anyway, if u're ever near Kovan interchange/nel/heartland mall, and looking for a bite at the hawker centre, Chai Kee Prawn Noodles ain't half bad. in fact, it was rather palatable, though i couldnt make myself finish my bowl.

The soup was it's usual prawn taste, the noodles was sufficiently tasty, the meat was dry, but the prawns suprisingly succulent. By Seng kangite's standards, it's pretty OK, none too bad for starving people.

it's quite fun writing these foodie entries with pics. Especially since i know most of you guys surf around only at night before bed, when u're most likely to be hungry for supper, but too lazy or cant go out. Evil right?
