...Because the dynasty prevails

How the hell is it that my area, the next to what is the epitomy of ulu-ness and bad food, has 100k pple (when in a GRC)?!?!??!

Live telecast of the results to begin at 10pm. at 9pm, these guys were seen at the sch gate, which incidentally, is the site for counting of votes of my grc. They hung around until the first of th results was announced, which was i think, about 11pm.

In the midst of all the "dipping in" and "dipping out" news coverage, before any of the results were announced, a dark car drove into the sch compound. my mum asked who is that person in crutches. it was too dark to see, incidentally later on the news we saw adm teo on tv on crutches. guess it's him. (now u can guess my grc already :S)

Now let's dip back in to what the people are saying....

And so the results were read, by a guy who's job is quite like a bingo-reader because every time he says something i'm filled with suspense, and he keeps repeating the required info on the law and stuff. quite amazed he manage to be so alert after 12, didnt stumble on his words or anything.

He's quite handsome actually, hmm.

some pts to note (though i could be wrong. i was half asleep)

1 - the opposition had increased votes in, i think, in almost all of the constituencies contested. Chiam's votes increased by approximately 1000. A sign of the future? There seems to be trend of an icrease support for the opposition, albeit, still falling short of the support for that given to the ruling party.

2 - pap gathered a decreased number of votes, in general, i would believe in some of the constituencies.

3- SDP surprisingly, to me, has supporters., but fared worse i think, than the other two opp parties.

3 - Steve chia is loved by aunties.

4 - 66.6% of votes for the ruling party, excluding those who did not get a chance to vote, is seen as a strong mandate for the gov, PM Lee is very pleased and comfortable with his own results in his contituency.

5 - my grc is blinkin populated lah. how come transportation so sian? no buses from the interchange after 1130pm??

ok my back hurts from moving day. It's time to move on. more on other things, as life continues under dynatic rule, tomorrow and the next day, and the day after that. :)
