...Painful bites, and baby's got a new pair of shoes.
I have mosquito bites on my feet.
UNDERNEATH my feet, by the sides just outside the soles of my feet, at my heel, on my calf...
and I am itching so much it hurts.
Going out today and walking around was quite tortorous. the straps of my slipper rubbed on the bites on the top of my feet, walking rubbed the ones at the bottom of my feet, and my jeans rubbed the ones at my heel. walking thus produced a strange occurance of scratching itches that shouldnt be scratched causing funny facial expression and soothing noises (Aaaaahhhhhhh) that made pple look at me funnily.
At the end of the day, all of the bites have swelled painfully, and now my foot looks twice its normal size. :(
so itchy!
so i came home took a bucket, filled it with ice and went to the toilet, filled the bucket with water, and sat on the toilet bowl with my feet in the bucket of ice water hoping for some respite from the itch. it helped somewhat, until i stepped into the shower and when faced with normal temp water, my skin around my lower legs and feet felt like it was being cut by shards of glass...just slashing thru the skin.
sigh.
i hate the mozzies in the north east. the bites last for days, and itch terribly. my body is allergic to their bites. :( Ended up waking this morning at 5.30am because i was scratching manically in my sleep and my skin felt raw - if i stayed in bed, i probably would have scratched until my skin bled. yes, it's THAT itchy to me. it's something about the bites on the soles of your feet and on your toes. (not that i have any on my toes. It just hurts when it happens to be there).

I went shopping yesterday. I took 30min to settle my stuff and bm took 2 hrs. :|
for the day's haul, i bought a pair of pants from iora ($29.90) and a pair of Charles and Keith shoes ($35) that i paid for using the vouchers the girls gave me. thanks ally gilly cat and bebe. :D:D
unfortunately, the shoes wasnt what i had in mind for work (comfy, soft soled for quiet walking), so i'm not done yet in the shoes department. and havent started shopping for tops yet too. :S
tiring lei shopping. bleah.
nervous bout work. it's coming soon. sigh, hope all goes well.
