It's the season
Sighs. What i hate about the exam season, is the isolation in an inaccessible part of the island with just my books. cant go out, gotta stay in sch all week, not come home on the weekend cuz of the way exams are scheduled this sem for me, Bad sleeping patterns, bad dietry habits, extreme lethargy, mild insomnia, weakened legs from prolonged periods seating, increased flab,
and most of all,
no warm hugs when i'm feeling cold and lonely in my room.

spent my whole life studying, gonna miss it. but still abit of a relief to move on and start earning moolah and get out of this perpetual brokeness. Sigghsss.....not that ive been doing alot of work over the past few days, just submitted my last lab report, but already i feel like dancing and boozing and shimmie'ing in a giddy headedness - just want to disconnect. hais.
Feeling abit down just thinking of the days to come. First paper this sat, then
mon tues thurs weds.
ok so some side notes of funny stuff/amusing stuff for the day:
1. jerry ong (yes, the former sg idol participant) has been in the papers recently, this time for something bout promoting abstinence. a lady wrote in response to him, for something he said, i'm not sure what, but i believe its somewhere along the lines of "teens are adults, should educate them so they can make the informed decisions" and "saving oneself from marraige". This lady finally wrote something that i've been saying all along, but seemingly no one agrees to - sure, preach abstinence. but only as a prevention of disease, not because of religion, or to save onself for your spouse.
religion - not everyone has the same religion. and also, who are u to impose ur religious belief on others? will God forsake u, for not being a virgin before you're married? how perplexing.
saving oneself for marraige - this little aspect, i find abit messed up in singapore society. if, to save sex for marraige, would be to reduce chances of STDs...then
- if one can/should only have sex after marraige, so cheating spouses who would bring diseases back to their family....vs...non-married but faithful partners with a sexual relationship. hmm. so the issue should be, promiscuity vs faithful partners. not marital vs pre-marital.
- is a person of lesser value because of his or her loss of viginity?
but if u think about it, they preach this to the young and horny people. what about the old singletons? i think if u're a 40 year old vigin, it's very sad right? u've yet to experience all that life could have you experience..heh heh heh.
but anyway, pt of the matter is...there are no two ways to go about it. sure, preach abstinence, but not without educating otherwise.
and wah laos eh...what makes jerry ong think by making himself as the poster child of "abstinence" a MOTIVATION for OTHER young people?!?!?!?!??!
with today's fickle mtv generation (i dont think i is mtv generation. when last time i no mtv, now everyone got starhub cable), i think they either
-forgot who he is
- remember and would want to be anything BUT him.
